Product Details: Nickel – Plated Steel Strip Coils Base Materials: Low – carbon steel (such as SPCC, SPCD), stainless steel (304/430) or copper alloy strips. Coating Types: Pure nickel coating (electroplated nickel/electroless nickel) or nickel – based alloy coatings (such as nickel – phosphorus, nickel – cobalt). Coating Thickness: Conventional range: 0.5 – 25μm (ultra – thin 0.1μm or thick plating of 50μm can be customized). Surface Conditions: Matte, semi – bright, full – bright (glossiness ≥ 85%), can be passivated (chromium – free), oiled or film – coated. Product Features: Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The nickel coating is dense and pore – free. The neutral salt spray test (NSS) can reach 48 – 720 hours (depending on the coating thickness). It is resistant to acids and alkalis (pH 3 – 11) and oxidation, superior to galvanized/tinned products. Excellent Electrical Conductivity and Weldability: Low resistivity (pure nickel 6.9×10⁻⁸Ω·m), can be laser – welded/spot – welded/ultrasonically welded, and the solder joint strength is ≥ 90% of the base material. High Hardness and Wear Resistance: The hardness of electroless nickel – phosphorus (Ni – P) is HV 500 – 1000 (after heat treatment), with a low friction coefficient (0.1 – 0.3), suitable for sliding parts. Precise Dimensional Control: Coating uniformity is ±5% (electroplating) or ±10% (electroless plating), suitable for micron – level stamping. Environmental Compatibility: Cyanide – free electroplating process (using the sulfamate system), compliant with RoHS and ELV directives, and nickel release is ≤ 0.5μg/cm²/week (EN 1811 test). Manufacturing Process: Pretreatment of Base Material: Electrolytic degreasing (alkaline solution, 50 – 70℃) → Pickling (10% H₂SO₄ or HCl) → Activation (dilute sulfuric acid/fluoride solution). Nickel – Plating Process: -Electroplated Nickel (electrolyte): Nickel sulfamate (main salt), boric acid (pH buffer), brighteners (saccharin/butynediol). Parameters: Current density 1 – 10A/dm², temperature 45 – 60℃, pH 3.5 – 5.0, deposition rate 0.1 – 2μm/min. -Electroless Nickel (electroless plating): Plating solution: Nickel sulfate (nickel source), sodium hypophosphite (reducer), complexing agents (lactic acid/citric acid). Parameters: Temperature 85 – 95℃. The coating is uniform (no dead corners), with a phosphorus content of 4 – 12% (affecting hardness and magnetism). Post – treatment: – Passivation: Chromate passivation (enhancing corrosion resistance) or chromium – free passivation (titanium/molybdate). – Sealing: Microporous sealant (silane or nano – ceramic coating) to reduce porosity. – Drying: Hot – air circulation (80 – 120℃) or infrared drying to prevent water marks on the coating.
