1. Core Definitions

H-shaped steel: A type of section steel with an "H" cross-sectional shape, whose flange inner and outer surfaces are parallel, facilitating connection with other components. It is divided into rolled H-shaped steel and welded H-shaped steel.

H-shaped alloy steel: In this context, it mainly refers to high-strength H-shaped steel that achieves higher strength, toughness or special properties (such as weather resistance) by adding alloying elements (such as Cr, Ni, Mo, V, etc.) or adopting controlled rolling and controlled cooling processes. Pure quenched and tempered alloy steels (such as 4140) rarely exist in the form of rolled H-shaped steel, and special requirements are usually realized through welded sections.
