Overview of International Aluminum Coil/Sheet Products：

1. Core Definition:

Aluminum coil/sheet are rectangular section plates/coils made from aluminum as the main component (usually accounting for ≥99%) through processes such as smelting, casting, hot rolling and/or cold rolling. Alloying elements (such as copper, manganese, silicon, magnesium, zinc, etc.) can be added as needed to form aluminum alloys, which significantly improve their mechanical properties.

2. Main Features:

Lightweight and high strength: Density is about 1/3 of that of steel, with high specific strength.

Corrosion resistance: A dense oxide film is naturally formed on the surface, with good atmospheric corrosion resistance.

Easy processability: Excellent plasticity and formability, suitable for stamping, stretching, bending, etc.

High electrical and thermal conductivity: Excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, second only to copper.

Non-magnetic: It is a non-magnetic material.

Environmentally friendly and recyclable: 100% recyclable, with low energy consumption in recycling.

Aesthetic: Various surface treatments, and decorative effects can be obtained through anodizing, spraying, etc.

3. Main Classifications:

By alloy composition:

Pure aluminum series: Excellent formability, corrosion resistance, electrical and thermal conductivity, but low strength. Such as 1050, 1060, 1100.

Aluminum-manganese series: Good rust resistance, higher strength than pure aluminum. Representative grade 3003.

Aluminum-silicon series: Good casting performance and heat resistance.

Aluminum-magnesium series: Good corrosion resistance and high fatigue strength, representative grades 5xxx series (such as 5052, 5083).

Aluminum-magnesium-silicon series: Medium strength, good formability, can be strengthened by heat treatment. Representative grades 6xxx series (such as 6061, 6063).

Aluminum-zinc series: Ultra-high strength, often used in aerospace. Representative grades 7xxx series (such as 7075).

By processing state:

O state: Annealed state, soft, lowest strength, highest ductility.

H state: Work-hardened state, such as H14 (half-hard), H18 (full-hard), commonly used for non-heat-treatable alloys.

T state: Heat treatment strengthened state, such as T6 (solution heat treatment + artificial aging), commonly used for heat-treatable alloys.
