1. Core Definition: Galvanized steel sheets/coils are steel products where a layer of pure zinc is coated on the surface of cold-rolled or hot-rolled base plates through continuous hot-dip galvanizing or electroplating processes. Their main purpose is to provide effective cathodic protection for the base plate, preventing corrosion and rusting.
2. Main Processes and Types:

Hot-dip galvanizing:

Process: Immersing the base plate in molten zinc to form a zinc-iron alloy layer and a pure zinc layer.

Features: Thicker coating, stronger corrosion resistance, with spangle or spangle-free surface.

Standards: ASTM A653, EN 10346, JIS G 3302.

Electrogalvanizing:

Process: Depositing a zinc layer on the surface of the base plate through electrolysis.

Features: Uniform coating, smooth and delicate surface, easy for subsequent painting, but the coating is usually thinner.

Surface treatment:
